2024 Scholarship Recipient!

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Rissmeyer for being selected as a Fury FC Scholarship recipient. Kaitlyn had many academic and athletic achievements throughout her years at Powhatan High School. This fall she will be attending the University of Virginia studying Biomedical Engineering.

Kaitlyn was a part of Fury FC for over 11 years. In additional to playing on several teams, she ended up coaching a U6 team in 2024. She shares, "as I got older and started coaching, I learned the importance of being a good role model for those around me. By leading by example, I learned that it influences everyone that surrounds me which helps to advocate not only for a team that works well together, but for a team with good souls too."

Congratulations Kaitlyn. Thank you for being a part of Fury FC. We wish you luck at UVA and in your future. We'd be happy to have you back as a coach....although Biomedical Engineering...you may be a bit busy for a few years!
